About The Project
This project was motivated by special interests in agriculture; my mother's side of the family has farmed in the Pasco/tri-cities area for the last several decades for mainly apples, but also potatoes, asparagus, and cherries. Another large motivation is the opportunity to work with one other classmates and the manufacturing company HF HAUFF based out of Yakima who will be aiding us in part of the design process.

The objective is to design and build a replacement leveling system for a mobile wind turbine, which is used when cold weather threatens the integrity of the fruit being farmed if frozen. the current leveling system is operated by a hand cranked screw, which takes several minutes to set up, which could be vital to the farm.

The proposed project will incorporate a modified design from the boom of a crane truck, with some slight adjustments to fit our application.
